State Archive in Kielce was established 1st January 1923 by a decree of 7th February 1919. The main aim was the protection of documents of the former Kielce province.

It"s the oldest church in Kielce. The first wooden building was erected at the turn of the 11th century. The next church was founded by canon Józef Rogalla in 1763. It was made of brick and acquired the Baroque appearance.

Opened in October 2006, the Kielce Historical Museum is one of the youngest cultural institutions of the Świętokrzyski region. It features a permanent exhibition entitled Kielce Through Centuries.

The earliest records about its trading activities date back to 1084 – it"s also the date of the construction of St Adalbert"s church. At the turn of the 11th century, Kielce and the Łysa Góra estate were already in hands of the Cracovian bishops. Kielce received its city rights in 1295, although some sources mention the year 1360 and bishop Bodzanta.

Description
The National Museum in Kielce invites to a new exhibition, "Pastor-Archeologist" located in the House of the Three Coats of Arms. This exhibition is devoted to the scientific achievements Father Stanislaw Skurczyński in the field of archeology, based on collections keep at the National Museum in Kielce. Exposed its monuments are listed in chronological order from the Late Paleolithic to the early Middle Ages.
